Freedom Centre

Freedom Centre is home to Freedom Church and was built in the 1930s. Having served as a local school, church, preschool and hosted many community events and groups for several decades, the building has faithfully served the community and continues to do so.

During the week, a large proportion of the building is used by a Gateway preschool, but rooms are still available to book and hire during evenings, weekends and the Chapel can be reserved most weekdays.

The side hall is particularly popular for children’s birthday parties and includes use of the kitchen for food preparation.

We are keen to engage with any community project that can make use of the building, so please contact us if you have a requirement.

Large, old building such as Freedom Centre take a lot of upkeep and much of it is expensive. We have no central funding and rely solely on income from renting rooms and whatever is kindly donated through individuals or sponsorship .

We also have regular work days where people can volunteer their time to help maintain the building and grounds.

If you can help us maintain this community building through the gift of time, materials or funds then please do get in touch. As a registered charity, donations can be registered for gift aid and all funds received are used for the running of the centre.
